I expected the Bishops to bring more drama but instead, the plot was predictable and the ending, was anti-climactic. This book read more like a bad Lifetime movie – and that’s giving it a lot.
The story moved slowly with no real pacing, switching between two different perspectives: one of Marissa and one of Avery. Marissa was unlikeable and frustrating. Avery, well she proves why she should have lost her license. There is a slew of other side characters that are added to the story, for what – IDK – but, my guess is, it’s to throw the reader off track of the big red herring at the end.
I figured out all the players in this boring mess, pretty quickly and solved the mystery well before the end of the book. If you’ve watched any kind of Lifetime movie, you could do the same. I wanted more drama and less Avery.
One-Word Summary: Boring
