Reading Recap: June 2023

60 Books This Year?

We’ve reached the halfway point of the year, who else is excited?! Just me? Okay.

I started the year with a reading goal of 3 books a month or, 36 for the year, and early on, I was killing it. I started the year strong finishing 4 books a month, from January through March. But in April, something in my just took off and I was reading more than ever. I started filling my free time with reading instead of doom-scrolling on TikTok and that’s when my reading momentum picked up and, here we are.

In May, I updated my reading goal to 60 for the year. But here we are at the end of June and I’m already 16 books ahead of schedule and have read 46 books so far this year. Let’s look at what I read in June.

I’m diving back into reading and taking my time to really enjoy each book—soaking up the writing, analyzing the characters, and seeing what makes a story stick (or miss the mark). Right here is where I write honest, no-fluff reviews.
