I don’t even know where to begin. I don’t want to trash this book or the author but, I really (really) disliked this book.
I. Characters
I loathed Kelly, more than any other character in this book. She is immature, insecure, and simple-minded. She couldn’t think critically if someone printed out her thoughts and read them to her. UGH she made me so mad. Sabrina and Nathan didn’t hate them as much but, everything about this story and these people was, unbelievable. This kind of stuff doesn’t happen in the real world.
II. The Story / Plot
Hated it. Hated the way it started, the plot twist, and the way it ended. I struggled so hard to get through this book.
III. The Writing
I have no complaints about the writing or the writing style. There were some areas where I thought descriptions and scene settings were too wordy, but I didn’t hate it. This should have been a quick and easy read but, the content matter is what I struggled to get through; not the actual words.
IV. My Final Thoughts
I’m sorry, Andrea – I enjoyed We Were Never Here but this one, I couldn’t take it. It is not my cup of tea.
