Monthly Recaps

Reading Recap: Jan 2024

another year!

Happy New Year! If you’re reading this then, we’ve got another month in the books (pun intended). I fell off at the end of 2023. I stopped reading at the top of October and I just didn’t have it in me to get back into the swing of things — it’s funny how these things are really mind over matter. I didn’t beat myself up though, I had read more books in 2023 than I had… ever so, I knew if I did it then, I can do it again. So here we are!

As I close out my ‘No Spend January’ I’m proud of myself for not buying any new books or downloading any books. Everything that I’ve read was an e-book from Cloud Library or Libby! I did listen to one audiobook because, I have 7 (or 8) Audible credits that I need to use. I had no rhyme or reason for what I read this month, just whatever was available for me to ‘borrow’ and looked interesting. I said I was going to abandon my TBR this year but, I think I’ll just use my TBR as a wishlist and will actually get through those books that I want to read. I also think, I’m going to start tracking my spending on books, we’ll see.

But, here’s what I read in January…
