Reading Recap: Feb 2024

we are black history!

I really wanted to take the month of February to read and highlight stories about and for black men and women, as well as, stories written by black authors and even though, that’s what I did, I don’t feel like I really was introduced to anyone new or any new story – if that makes sense. I read books from authors that I was familiar with, who write stories that… I am familiar with. So, win-win, I guess.

With this plan, my hope was that I would be introduced to new authors and new stories, maybe even genres that I haven’t gotten into before. I wanted to read some black fantasy or, black thrillers but unfortunately, I stumbled into black romance more than anything. And this is all my own fault, I should have taken more time in January to put together a list of books that I wanted to read so that I was prepared. Either way, I enjoyed mostly all the books I read this month, with the exception of an Eric Jerome Dickey book that I could not finish! What did you read this month?

But, here’s what I read in February…
